Sunda Tigers Study Time, Money, and Graphs
Sunda tigers are the smallest tigers and they love water! Sometimes, they find coins in the water—if only they could count them—and other times they spend so long in the water that they would like to know exactly how long. Help the Sunda tigers study time, money, and graphs (for finding the best time of day to swim) in this fun class!
Through in-class activities and independent practice, students will:
- Solve elapsed time problems using addition and subtraction
- Identify all American coins (penny, nickel, dime, quarter, half-dollar, dollar)
- Add different coin quantities to add up to $10 USD
- Organize and represent numerical data on a line plot to a quarter and eighth unit scale, and use fraction operations to interpret these line plots to answer questions about the data
- Day and Time: Fridays, 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM ET
- Class Duration: 4 Weeks
- Dates: April 4 - May 2, 2025
- No class April 18 (Spring Break)
- Recommended for: Ages 9+ / Grades 4-5
