Geometry with Giant Pandas

Giant pandas love bamboo, and when we say they love it, we mean it. Bamboo accounts for 99 percent of a panda’s diet. They can spend about twelve hours a day just eating bamboo—or are they just eating? We have a hunch that they learned geometry, and they practice geometry with the bamboo shoots before eating them. What do you think?
 
Students construct triangles, quadrilaterals, and polygons, and use a ruler to measure their sides
Students define and classify geometric figures that have up to 3 dimensions
Students define and classify polygons, including different types of triangles and quadrilaterals
