Detective Logic
“It belongs to you, but your friends use it most. What is it?”
Answer: Your name!
Riddles are just a warm up for the real detective logic we will encounter!
Welcome to the class where students, soon to become detectives, will learn crucial detective and reasoning skills! Logical reasoning can improve our understanding of everyday life, and even help us change the world.
Here is an example of thinking without logic:
A cloud is 90% water. A watermelon is 90% water. Therefore, since a plane can fly through a cloud, a plane can fly through a watermelon.
It’s easy to make mistakes in our thinking, so how can we make sure we avoid them? Luckily, there are lots of ways we can strengthen our brian’s logic muscles! Ms. Miriam will teach students how to avoid those mistakes and to master other tips and tricks to ensure that logic is the primary tool used by our detectives!
As Sherlock Holmes might say, “There is no time to be wasted! The game is afoot, and we must have our wits about us!”
