Chameleons Can Count
Chameleons like hot places, particularly places that are 100 degrees Fahrenheit. But sometimes, when the sun is still rising, it’s not that hot, and chameleons watch the thermometer as it slowly rises. Like the chameleons (but for different reasons), students will learn how to count and recognize numbers up to 100. They will skip their way up the thermometer by 2’s, 5’s, and 10’s, and slide back down as the sun disappears, counting backward from 10. Join us for a one in cha-million opportunity!
Count and Recognize numbers (1-100)
Count to 10 by 2’s
Count to 100 by 5’s, and 10’s
Count backward from 10
We will be using math games, activities, animation, and manipulatives for increased interaction, fun, and understanding.
Manipulatives:
- Minimum recommended age: 4
- Instructor: Ms. Hansa Sigar
- Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11-11:30 AM ET
- 8 classes
- October 12 14 19, 21, 26, 28, November 2, 4

She has always taken a keen interest in the fields of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence.
Hansa always loves to explore and experiment with machines and their mechanisms, concepts of physics, and of course mathematics! She absolutely loves teaching kids! In her spare time, she collects stamps, debates, and studies astronomy. Her hobbies include playing guitar, piano, and kalimba! She is a polyglot who loves nature and likes to explore woods, lakes, and cultural aspects of the getaway destinations. All these activities often inspire her to sketch and paint flora and fauna with her own unique twist. She firmly believes that imagination, curiosity, and the spirit of creativity are imbibed through experimenting and exploring!
Teaching style: hands-on activities, class discussions, gamified learning plans, visual math, word problems, educational activities
