Animal Specializations and Dissections
Join us as we learn about some of the spectacular ways animals have adapted to survive and thrive in their environments. We will explore the differences and similarities between animal species and discover the really crazy unique abilities of some animals. Finally, after all our study and research, it will be time for a scientific debate: How much have humans influenced animals? AND should humans continue to influence animals to adapt to us?
Dissection is an essential part of every student’s science education. In this class, we will take a closer, inside look at the anatomical differences in various types of animals. We will further our understanding of how different types of animals have adapted in different ways to survive in the same environment. We will also discuss the similarities found in all the animal species. Every animal (even the ones we are so used to seeing) has evolved and developed amazing adaptations that allow them to thrive!
