At The Thinking Kid, believe in putting our money where our mouth is. We believe in education for all children.
It was not until I was driving through West Africa, accompanying my husband on a work trip, that I first really understood the great chasm between first- and third-world populations: the struggle to survive, the lack of food, the void of medical care, and the absence of education. The experience left me feeling helpless; how could one person make a difference in the face of this huge challenge? I am grateful for those who devote their lives to working to bring education, food, and medical care to these people. And it is for this reason that we at The Thinking Kid are committing to donate 10% of our profit to Pencils of Promise.
Pencils of Promise believes that a quality physical space is critical to fostering learning—so they build classrooms in partnership with public school systems and communities in Ghana, Guatemala, and Laos to ensure that all students have access to a safe and healthy place to learn. Pencils of Promise has built 589 schools, which are serving 131,127 children. Now, when you register your children at The Thinking Kid, you will also be contributing to a school where someone else’s child will have the opportunity to learn. Together, we can bring education to the youth of the world.
Gratefully,
Georgia
